Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various legal areas and possess strong research and analytical skills. Growing plaintiff law firm specializing in first party insurance claims (property damage from hurricanes, hail-storms, windstorms, tornadoes, fires, etc.) Minimum 3 years of legal experience. Trial experience and Spanish speaking are a plus. Must have strong ability to research, draft motions, pleadings, take depositions, etc. Anyone with insurance claims, adjusting or construction background is a plus. Must be able to manage docket of assigned cases. Base salary is $70,000
  • 100,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
In addition to base salary each attorney will receive a percentage of the attorney fees earned on all assigned cases. Base salary and bonus per case is earned and paid as each case is resolved and closed. Paid vacation time, holidays, sick days. Health insurance and other benefits available. Fun office with great team environment. Rewarding cases fighting for the rights of individuals and businesses prevail in their claim against their insurance company. Opportunity to gain trial experience. Work will be performed in person in Galveston, Texas.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
  • Assist in drafting legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements
  • Provide support in estate planning matters
  • Handle administrative tasks within the legal office
  • Stay updated on tribal law regulations and their implications
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and litigation matters
Experience:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing
  • Experience in estate planning, legal drafting, and litigation
  • Familiarity with Tribal law regulations is a plus
