Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and confident Criminal Defense Attorney with substantial courtroom experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a proactive litigator who is comfortable managing cases independently, advocating in court, and negotiating favorable outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in criminal cases from arraignment through trial and sentencing Conduct court appearances, including hearings, motions, and trials Develop case strategies, including investigation and evidence review Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal briefs Negotiate plea agreements when appropriate Advise clients on legal rights, case progress, and potential outcomes Collaborate with investigators, expert witnesses, and support staff
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in TX Minimum of 3 years of criminal defense experience Demonstrated courtroom experience, including trial work Strong oral advocacy and legal writing skills Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively Excellent negotiation and client communication skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience handling felony cases Familiarity with local court procedures and judges Bilingual abilities (a plus, but not required) Compensation is commensurate with experience.
