Job Description
Senior Litigation Associate Attorney A highly respected Texas law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Associate Attorney to join its established litigation practice in the Austin area. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who enjoys handling sophisticated, high-stakes matters, developing litigation strategy, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients. The successful candidate will have significant experience managing complex litigation from inception through resolution while working directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the court. This role offers substantial responsibility, meaningful client interaction, and the opportunity to work alongside accomplished attorneys on challenging legal matters. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Active member of the Texas Bar in good standing 8+ years of litigation experience Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Experience managing complex civil litigation matters Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills Experience taking and defending depositions Experience drafting and arguing substantive motions Trial, arbitration, or evidentiary hearing experience is strongly preferred Ability to manage multiple matters independently while mentoring junior attorneys Responsibilities Lead complex litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution Develop litigation strategy and provide practical legal counsel to clients Draft and argue dispositive motions and other substantive pleadings Manage discovery, depositions, expert witnesses, and case preparation Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings Build and maintain strong client relationships Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys and legal support staff Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the litigation practice What the Firm Offers Competitive compensation commensurate with experience Performance-based bonus opportunities Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer contribution Generous paid time off and firm holidays Continuing legal education and professional development support Collaborative and collegial culture High level of autonomy and direct client responsibility Long-term leadership and partnership potential This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced litigator seeking sophisticated work, meaningful client relationships, and a collaborative environment that values professional excellence and long-term career growth.
