Commercial Counsel West Valley City, UT 84119 Full-time Full-time The AuST Group is seeking a Commercial Attorney to support our growing and dynamic company. AuST specializes in the Design, Development, Manufacturing, and Distribution of highly engineered medical devices. Our products are on the cutting edge of many clinical areas, including electrophysiology, cardiac rhythm management, and endoscopy. Because of tremendous growth, expansion into new therapies, and addition of new Customers, we have reached the point of hiring our first in-house counsel. This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with the founders of the company and to join the leadership team in supporting a diverse range of legal and business topics. AuST is on the innovative, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced side of healthcare and working with many of the industry's thought leaders to bring the next generation of medical devices and therapies to market. Our Customers are a fascinating balance of entrepreneurs, startups, and large publicly traded strategic partners. Our business is an equally fascinating mix of R D, new product launch, high volume manufacturing, sales and distribution. This puts us right in the middle of all the action and innovation. We're 17 years into building a world-class medical company and it's going really well… we just need more counsel! What You'll Work On

• Commercial R D / Design and Development Agreements
• Customer Supply Agreements
• Supplier / Vendor Agreements
• Real Estate Agreements
• Human Resources / Employment related counsel
• All the normal mundane stuff like NDA's
• Review of marketing and promotional content to ensure compliance
• It's a regulated industry, which means working with our Regulatory department
• Helping to manage or leverage outside counsel for specialty projects
• Providing guidance to leadership on complex issues with Customers, Authorities, and Suppliers
• This position will interact with all aspects of the company and will be required to be located on site in Utah
• Limited / infrequent travel for occasional visits to Customers, Suppliers, or industry events. Required Qualifications
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to a US state bar in good standing
• The candidate must be innovative, entrepreneurial, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be curious and willing to learn and not be interested in bureaucracy or traditional job descriptions and boundaries.

• Healthcare industry or other relevant industry experience strongly preferred
• Ability to handle multiple projects in fast-paced environment and exercise sound commercial and legal judgment
• Knowledge and experience in IP law would be beneficial, or be a quick study!
• Knowledge and experience in contracting with hospitals and GPO's would be beneficial.
• Ability to independently handle complex matters with minimal supervision
• Beyond your amazing legal skills, we're looking for someone with business savvy, strategic thinking in the context of commercial deals and relationships, and a genuine interest in helping grow and build AuST into a company all your friends and family will have heard of!

Education JD Experience We're open to someone early career, mid-career, or very experienced. Each options have their benefits. For the right candidate, we're willing to consider someone early career that can grow together with us. We are entrepreneurial and this is not your traditional stuffy law firm job which means we'd be willing to take a chance on the right candidate if you can convince us that you have what it takes and are a cultural fit. Otherwise, bring all your years of experience with IP protection and commercial contracts in the medical device or life sciences space and we'll view that as a huge plus.
