Location:
This position is based in Charlottesville, VA and is primarily on-site. We are looking for someone who wants to be an active part of the local office, team, and community.
Note:
Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Virginia and have 2+ years of civil litigation experience. Job Description Handle a wide range of civil litigation matters from case development through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation documents. Conduct legal research and provide thoughtful analysis on case strategy and client matters. Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and trial preparation. Work closely with partners, associates, paralegals, and staff to move cases forward efficiently. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties in a professional and responsive manner. Support complex litigation strategy while continuing to develop your own litigation skills and judgment. Contribute to a professional, team-oriented environment that values integrity, hard work, and client service. Qualifications Virginia Bar license required. 2+ years of civil litigation experience required. Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills. Experience with pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, depositions, or trial preparation. Ability to work well with attorneys, staff, clients, and outside parties. Strong interpersonal skills and professional judgment. Hardworking, energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality legal work.
