Job Description

Willcox Savage, a full-service law firm with offices in Norfolk, Richmond and Tysons, Virginia, seeks a Partner to join its Employment Law Section in Norfolk, Tysons, or Richmond. Willcox Savage employment attorneys defend clients in employment litigation regionally and nationally, provide proactive litigation avoidance counseling, assist with business immigration for multinational employers, and provide fair housing advice to property developers and management companies throughout the country. This position encompasses an engaging blend of litigation, consulting, and transactional work. Responsibilities Represent firm clients or clients brought by partner in employment-related matters, including counseling, litigation, mediation, and arbitration. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Provide counsel to employers and employees on employment law issues such as discrimination, harassment, wage and hour compliance, and workplace policies. Manage litigation matters from start to finish Participate in client meetings, court appearances, and negotiations. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Virginia State Bar (or eligibility for admission). 7 years of experience in employment law preferred. Experience representing clients in both federal and state court litigation. Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple cases, associates and deadlines effectively. Ability to work from the Norfolk, Tysons or Richmond office. At least a partial portable book of business is preferred. Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
