Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

Responsibilities:

Work closely with partners and senior attorneys in the firm's Civil Litigation practice group. Handle a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters including but not limited to commercial disputes, personal injury cases, employment litigation, and contract disputes. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Participate in all stages of litigation, including discovery, hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution. Collaborate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams to provide comprehensive legal counsel.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Virginia. 1-3 years of civil litigation experience at a reputable law firm or relevant legal setting. Strong understanding of civil procedure, legal research, and excellent legal writing skills. Ability to manage caseloads effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and advocacy skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative team-oriented environment.
