Job Description:
Bauer Gravel Farnham, LLP is seeking an experienced attorney who desires to continue the firm's tradition of providing quality legal services in a professional manner. The ideal candidate must be licensed in Vermont with a desire to work in a professional and collaborative firm setting, where both what we do and how we do it is equally important. The candidate should possess strong writing and oral advocacy skills as well as research and customer service skills. Experience and interest in Litigation required, preferably Real Estate Litigation. Bringing a current client base to the firm is not required but would be a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive legal counsel to clients. Conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and provide well-reasoned advice and strategies to clients. Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, and other court filings, with precision and attention to detail. Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings with strong oral advocacy skills. Maintain effective communication with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient resolution of legal matters. Stay abreast of developments in the law and participate in continuing legal education to enhance professional knowledge and skills. Demonstrate commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in the state of Vermont. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a law firm setting. Strong writing and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively. Demonstrated proficiency in legal research, analysis, and drafting of legal documents. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Existing client base or ability to generate business would be considered a significant advantage.
