Job Description

Growing, fast-paced multi-state law firm is looking for a talented, hard-working Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience. We are a full-service firm specializing in the representation of creditors and institutional lenders throughout the Western United States. This position is in our Kirkland, WA office. We offer a collegial atmosphere and opportunities for professional development. This attorney will work primarily on civil cases involving real estate title litigation, contested judicial foreclosures and defensive litigation representing real estate lenders. This attorney will be generally responsible for handling their own case load .
Required qualifications:
License to practice law in Washington. Additional license to practice in Arizona, California, Oregon, and/or Nevada is a plus. A juris doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school. Experience representing clients in all stages of pre-trial litigation, including, but not limited to: preparing pleadings and motions (e.g., complaints, answers, demurrers, discovery motions, and summary judgment motions); drafting and responding to discovery; taking and defending depositions; and making court appearances. Experience with trial preparation and the foreclosure process a plus, as is direct experience with wrongful foreclosure and creditor's rights litigation in Washington.
Candidates should have:
A solid work ethic. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability and desire to resolve real estate issues in an efficient manner. Excellent business judgment, interpersonal skills, and negotiation skills. Patience to handle ambiguity, changing priorities, and quickly shifting from one task to another. Ability to work well under pressure. A positive attitude and good sense of humor to fit in with our collegial environment. This position is for full-time employment with benefits. Offered salary will be discussed during the interview process and will depend on experience and other factors.
