This role offers an exciting opportunity to advocate for clients navigating complex family law matters, including divorce, child custody, adoption, and spousal support. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for justice, exceptional negotiation skills, and a comprehensive understanding of family law procedures. You will play a vital role in guiding clients through emotionally charged situations with professionalism and compassion, ensuring their rights are protected throughout the legal process. Duties Represent clients in family law cases such as divorce, child custody, visitation rights, and alimony disputes. Conduct thorough legal research using platforms like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies. Draft and review legal documents including petitions, motions, agreements, and court pleadings with precision and clarity. Negotiate settlements effectively to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining client interests. Manage all aspects of litigation from initial consultation through trial preparation and court appearances. Provide expert advice on related areas such as estate planning, immigration law, landlord-tenant issues, and tribal law when applicable. Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all legal administrative requirements. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the State of WA. Proven experience practicing family law with a strong track record of successful case management. Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis is essential. Excellent writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence. Strong negotiation abilities to facilitate amicable resolutions when possible. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while providing compassionate client service. Legal administrative experience to manage case documentation and court filings effectively.
