Senior Corporate Counsel -

Shift Shift :
1st Shift Job overview: Schneider is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel in Green Bay to provide leaders with legal advice to help them implement practical business solutions. The Senior Corporate Counsel will have a deep understanding of all aspects of the businesses they support so they can offer timely and effective legal input.
Responsibilities:
Examine facts, identify legal risks and recommend the best solutions to Schneider leaders. Formulate and test hypotheses drawn from limited evidence and speculation to identify and recommend solutions. Simplify and appropriately communicate legal matters and analyses to business leaders. Engage other counsel members when matters are complex. Work with various departments to facilitate compliance with federal and state regulations. Draft and negotiate business contracts, such as carrier transportation and logistics contracts, cross-border contracts, computer software contracts, etc. Complete legal projects assigned by senior in-house attorneys. Respond to legislative developments and public inquiries. Assist with the negotiation of acquisition or divestiture of businesses, the purchase or sale of property and negotiation of contracts and proposals.
Skills and qualifications:
Doctor of Law. Admitted to practice law in Wisconsin. 6-10 years of experience as a practicing lawyer. Prior in-house experience is preferred. Background in transportation, human resources, finance, accounting or a heavily regulated industry is preferred. Able to plan, organize and prioritize a wide variety of tasks at once. Strong attention to detail. Able to meet tight deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.
