Team-first, global, good humans only What does this role actually do? In short? You're the person who helps the business navigate legal risks with confidence while keeping contracts moving. In a typical day, you'll:
  • Draft, negotiate, and review contracts for global business units (This is the heart of the role - about 60-70% of your time)
  • Partner closely with business teams to provide practical, thoughtful legal guidance
  • Answer questions, spot risks early, and help teams move forward with clarity
  • Jump into new or emerging areas of law when theye up (because they always do)

Representative Responsibilities:
Assists the General Counsel and the Managing Associate General Counsel with the following:
  • Develop and implement processes, templates, and best practices to support ETC's global business operations
  • Assess business transactions and operations to minimize legal and business risks for ETC's global business operations
  • Drafting, negotiating, and maintaining a variety of business agreements for ETC's global business operations
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to ETC's business and assist in translating those developments into practicalpliance guidance and processes
  • Acquisitions and strategic partnership development
  • Coordinate external legal resources as needed
  • Assist with the maintenance of ETC's global IP portfolio
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Special projects and requests arepleted in a timely and positive fashion.
  • Ability to travel when necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school
  • Good standing as a member of the Wisconsin State Bar (or the ability to be a member)
  • 2-5 years legal experience with a global manufacturingpany, corporate law, or related practice(s)
  • Excellent negotiation, research, and legal drafting skills
  • Ability to manage a broad and varied portfolio of legal matters in a fast-moving business environment
  • Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and prioritizepeting requests
  • Demonstrated ability to beanized, identify and mitigate risk, problem solve, and offer creative and practical solutions
  • Computer skills required.
Experience with a cloud-based contract system is preferred
