Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated 3rd-4th year associate (Class of 2022-2023) to join our nationally recognized Labor & Employment Practice Group. This position may be based in Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Houston, Jacksonville, Madison, Milwaukee, York, Orlando, San Diego, or Tampa. Qualified candidates will have experience with temporary restraining order and temporary injunction expedited relief proceedings, as well as trade secret misappropriation and noncompete litigation wage and hour class action litigation, union negotiations, advice and counseling, OSHA matters, and single plaintiff employment litigation. Strong legal writing skills and experience with discovery, motion practice, and researching and drafting pleadings, motions and other court filings required. Experience with trial preparation in both state and federal courts and participation in settlement conferences and negotiations preferred. We are seeking a team-oriented associate with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and an exceptional work ethic who has demonstrated client relationship and business development skills and an ability to thrive in busy, collegial environments. Top academics and experience required. Applicants must hold a JD from an ABA accredited law school and be active members in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice. Timely admission to the Bar of the hiring office's state will be a condition of employment. Current judicial clerks need to apply directly and may not be submitted by a legal recruiter. In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The expected salary range for this position is $260,000-$310,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
