What You'll Do Handle a variety of civil litigation defense matters , including insurance defense, employment law, and insurance coverage disputes Manage cases from initial evaluation through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents Conduct legal research and case strategy development Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel Collaborating with senior attorneys and team members on case strategy and professional development What We're Looking For Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Licensed to practice law in West Virginia (or ability to obtain) Litigation experience preferred, particularly in insurance defense or civil litigation Strong research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to manage cases independently while working within a collaborative team environment Why Join This Firm Competitive Compensation Low Billable Hour Requirement - 1700 hours Exceptional Mentorship with an open-door policy from senior attorneys Strong support staff and collaborative culture Clear and straightforward path to Equity Partner Stable firm with long-term growth opportunities A positive work environment that makes you look forward to Monday — no "Sunday scariest."
