Dedicated Service, Respect, Teamwork, and Engaged Innovation. Position Description The Town of Marana is seeking a Legal Clerk to work in the Legal Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in providing support primarily to the to the criminal division of the Legal Department (Town Prosecutor's Office) by reviewing body-worn camera videos and other evidence for redactions in preparation for disclosure and court hearings and providing general administrative support to the Legal Department. Expected Hiring Range:
$17.53/hour - $21.48/hour Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.
Salary Range:
$17.53/hour - $25.43/hour Examples of Duties Prepares body worn camera (BWC) videos, photographs, and 911 audio files for disclosure and court hearings by making appropriate redactions in compliance with office policy. Assists in preparing victims' rights notices and handling victim inquiries. Updates departmental database, including reading reports and summarizing relevant material; enters data; runs reports, and extracts and organizes information. Provides general administrative support, including mailing, emailing, copying, and faxing correspondence and answering phone inquiries. Supports the day-to-day administrative operations of the department by providing detailed administrative support to the director and staff. Minimum Qualifications Specific vocational, administrative, or technical knowledge acquired through six months of training past the high school equivalency; community college, vocational, or technical schools are likely sources. Over one year of experience in a related field. Must complete the Town of Marana background check. Must pass a fingerprint clearance background check to be approved to access Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) Information. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in the legal profession, preferably in a prosecutor's office. Experience with Axon video system.
