We're looking for a Temporary Collections Support team member to help our Collections department stay organized, efficient, and responsive. In this role, you'll provide important administrative and operational support by managing documentation, tracking account activity, assisting with reports, and helping coordinate communication across teams. You'll play a key part in keeping workflows moving and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys structured work, supporting a team, and staying busy in a fast-paced environment. No prior collections experience is required — training will be provided. This is a temporary position, not to exceed 6 months What You'll Do Administrative Support Provide general administrative support including data entry, document preparation, and file maintenance. Maintain accurate records of account activity, correspondence, and internal notes within department systems. Assist with preparing routine member communications such as letters and notices. Monitor shared inboxes and route inquiries or requests to appropriate team members. Schedule follow-ups, reminders, and meetings as directed. Account Processing & Tracking Assist with tracking delinquent account activity and updating account status information. Help gather documentation needed for payment processing or account resolution activities. Prepare tracking logs, spreadsheets, and activity summaries for the Collections team. Coordinate with internal departments to obtain information needed to complete account tasks. Ensure administrative steps are completed accurately and within required timelines. Reporting & Organization Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems. Assist with preparing departmental reports and monitoring task completion. Track outreach activity, follow-ups, and documentation status. Support improvements in administrative workflows and department organization. What You Bring Experience At least one year of experience in an administrative, clerical, operations support, banking, call center, or customer service role preferred. Experience with data entry, document processing, or maintaining organized records. Experience working in fast-paced or deadline-driven environments is a plus. Financial institution experience is helpful but not required. Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Skills & Competencies Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through. Task-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Adaptable and able to adjust to changing workloads or urgent requests. Reliable with consistent attendance and strong dependability. Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Technical Skills Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Comfortable learning new systems and working within internal platforms. Ability to maintain tracking spreadsheets, logs, and digital files. Why Join Us? In accordance with California's Pay Transparency Act, the expected hourly pay range for this role at Rize Federal Credit Union is $22.00-$28.00. Actual compensation is determined by experience, education, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors. As part of the hiring process, candidates who receive a contingent offer will undergo a background investigation, which may include employment verification, credit review, criminal records search, Social Security verification, and government registry checks.
