Job Description

Job Summary Burgess & Christensen Disability Attorneys is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and compassionate Legal Support Specialist to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting Case Managers, Attorneys, and clients throughout the Social Security Disability process. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while helping individuals navigate the disability benefits process. Responsibilities Case Management Support Assist Case Managers with administrative tasks related to Social Security Disability claims. Document Management Organize, maintain, and update legal documents using Clio and other document management systems. Review documents for completeness, accuracy, and consistency. Proofread correspondence, forms, and legal documents. Upload, scan, and electronically file client records and supporting documentation. Client & SSA Communication Answer incoming calls professionally and provide exceptional customer service. Communicate regularly with the Social Security Administration regarding claim status and case updates. Assist clients with routine questions and requests. Document all communications accurately in the case management system. Administrative Support Complete data entry and clerical tasks with a high level of accuracy. Assist with mail processing, document preparation, and file maintenance. Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information. Prepare and file Initial Applications, Reconsideration Appeals, and Hearing Requests with the Social Security Administration. Maintain accurate case records and client information within Clio. Monitor case status and assist with follow-up activities as directed. Qualifications Previous experience in a law office, legal support, case management, or administrative support role. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based case management systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional phone etiquette and customer service experience. Preferred Experience working in Social Security Disability law. Familiarity with Clio case management software. Experience communicating with government agencies and medical providers. Knowledge of Social Security Disability claims processes. Pay:
$17.50 - $18.50 per hour
