Job Description

IMPORTANT APPLICATION REQUIREMENT A
written cover letter is strictly required for this position. Applications submitted without a cover letter will not be reviewed or considered. About Us We are not a traditional law firm, although we work with attorneys every day. We are a high-speed, rapidly expanding litigation support company that operates more like a technology startup than a legacy legal office. We believe in advancing technology in the legal space to provide cutting-edge solutions for indigent defense attorneys. If you are looking for a slow, rigid paralegal role, this is not a good fit for you. If you want to be part of a dynamic, tech-forward team making a tangible impact on public defense, we want to hear from you. Position Overview We are seeking a Legal Technology Specialist for a full-time, in-office role at our Oregon City, OR office. This position is highly dynamic, ever-changing, and perfect for a tech-savvy self-starter who thrives on managing a high volume of projects simultaneously. You will work in a collaborative, small-office environment, reporting directly to two senior managers. The core of this role involves managing our proprietary tablet program and executing high-volume discovery file processing. You must be comfortable adapting to new workflows, learning complex automation tools, and pivoting quickly as office needs arise. Key Responsibilities Manage the lifecycle of our proprietary hardware, including provisioning new tablets, updating software, and processing/recycling returned devices. Handle high-volume pre- and post-processing of discovery files using specialized software. Run batch file automations, conversions, and data management tasks. Draft professional cover letters and manage secure shipping/mailing logistics for tablet deployment. Serve as a point of contact for clients (attorneys) via professional, clear email communication. Travel to Portland once a month to retrieve tablet inventory. Adapt quickly to new operational workflows and take on miscellaneous administrative or technical responsibilities as the company scales. Requirements & Qualifications Exceptional technical aptitude; comfort working with various software programs, file conversion tools, batch automations, and use of AI vibe coding. Extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills to handle multiple concurrent, fast-moving projects. Ability to listen to, comprehend, and execute complex technical workflows independently. Strong written communication skills for professional attorney-facing email correspondence. A self-starter mindset with a willingness to jump into new projects and support the office wherever needed. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (required for monthly equipment retrieval trips to Portland). Legal technology, paralegal with technology, or litigation support is a huge plus, but not absolutely required. Alignment with our mission to support indigent defense and advance legal technology. Compensation & Benefits Starting at $26.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience. Up to 75% company-paid health insurance. Paid Time Off (PTO). Paid federal holidays. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some flexibility/negotiability for the right candidate.
