eDiscovery Specialist Anywhere | United States Direct Hire Our client, a respected national law firm, is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Specialist to join their growing team. This role serves as a key player in the litigation lifecycle, executing hands-on work in Relativity, advising case teams on best practices, and managing workflows from data ingestion through production. It's a great fit for someone who is comfortable juggling multiple matters, and brings both technical know-how and client-facing confidence. Ideal candidates will bring some experience in eDiscovery or litigation support, a strong command of Relativity, and the ability to work independently while staying engaged with a remote-first, socially connected team. This is a remote position, however candidates must be located in a state our client has an office: Alabama, Arizona, Washington DC, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, New York, or Texas. Some travel to a nearby office may be required from time to time. Key Responsibilities
eDiscovery & Matter Support
Administer and support Relativity workspaces, including:
Workspace creation using firm-approved templates
Data ingestion and processing
Creating and exporting outgoing document productions
Importing incoming document productions
User and group permissions management
Create, quality-check, and export document productions, ensuring accuracy, defensibility, and adherence to specifications
Perform QC and import incoming deliverables from third-party vendors and external parties, proactively identifying and resolving issues
Maintain accurate chain of custody and ensure compliance with firm policies, privacy requirements, and data security standards
Assist with data cleanup, archiving, and matter close-out activities
Technical Expertise & Workflow Execution
Apply strong working knowledge of Relativity functionality, including permissions, processing, searching, review, and production workflows
Support data management tasks such as deduplication, metadata validation, and structured QC processes
Assist with specialized workflows including mobile device collections through third-parties, transcript handling, and data organization for review and trial preparation
Utilize tools such as PowerPDF for document manipulation, bookmarking, and splitting/combining files
Support secure data transfers via approved FTP platforms following established protocols
Advisory & Collaboration
Advise case teams on standard eDiscovery workflows, best practices, and available technology solutions
Partner with eDiscovery Manager and Coordinator to assess case needs and recommend efficient, cost-effective approaches
Coordinate with third-party vendors for providing services such as forensic and mobile device collections
Proactively communicate status updates, risks, and next steps to internal stakeholders
Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing
Contribute to internal documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Participate in content creation efforts such as internal newsletter, educational resources, or process updates
Expand technical knowledge through exposure to advanced Relativity features (e.g., analytics and dashboards), and emerging tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview)
Embrace stretch assignments and evolving responsibilities as eDiscovery knowledge matures
Administrative & Operational Responsibilities
Accurately track, record, finalize, and release billable time per matter weekly
Manage multiple concurrent projects while effectively prioritizing deadlines
Adhere to confidentiality, professionalism, and firm standards at all times
Participate in departmental initiatives and other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience in eDiscovery or litigation support within a law firm
Strong working knowledge of Relativity as a power user or administrator (RCA not required)
Solid, well-rounded understanding of the litigation and eDiscovery lifecycle
Experience with data processing, document review support, and production workflows
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel for data analysis and manipulation)
Familiarity with tools such as PowerPDF
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
Strong customer service skills and demonstrated ability to build professional relationships
Ability to work individually and within a team environment
This position will require, from time to time, off-hour (evenings and weekends) work assignments and/or local travel, including travel to New Orleans for our annual IT Summit
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting phone or mobile device collections
Experience contributing to training, documentation, or internal education efforts

Trusted by attorneys and case teams for practical, reliable eDiscovery guidance
Demonstrates growing technical depth in Relativity and related tools
Proactively identifies risks, inefficiencies, or opportunities for process improvement
Actively contributes to team knowledge sharing, documentation, and evolving best practices Expected salary for this non-exempt role is $90,000 - $95,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors. #LI-DNI
