Job DescriptionRR Donnelley is adding Legal Document Specialists to their team!

In this role, we are seeking a Word Processing professional to support time-sensitive project requests by working with a team of individuals across multiple shifts and locations. Candidates must enjoy producing quality work and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Knowledge in legal word/document processing using various legal software, tools, Microsoft Office suite is an added advantage.

Monday•Friday, 9AM•5PM (6 weeks)
Pay:
$19.19 hourly plus $1.00 shift differential
Hybrid:
After 90 day probation 3 days onsite 2 days remote
Responsibilities:
Create, edit and format legal documents to firm specifications using a variety of software applicationsConvert, clean and format documents to/from different file formatsCreate charts, graphs, tables, and spreadsheets as requestedCreate and/or edit Tables of Authorities and Table of ContentsPerform data entry utilizing various software applicationsTranscribe analog or digital dictation filesRestore/recover corrupted document files as necessaryProvide telephone help desk support to troubleshoot application queriesComplete all assigned jobs by the deadline in an accurate and timely mannerHandle sensitive and/or confidential documents and informationFollow established policies and procedures at all timesPerform additional duties as necessary or assigned
QualificationsSkills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsFlexibility to work overtime as requiredAbility to work through complex legal document markups and instructions in a timely and accurate mannerAbility to prioritize various requests and deadlines simultaneouslyAbility to interact with client and team members in a professional and respectful manner at all timesMinimum typing speed of 60 wpm with 95% accuracy
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree with 3+ years experience in legal word processing or document production environment preferredAdvanced knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint requiredExperience and exposure in any of the legal word processing tasks belowCreating TOAs, TOCs, inserting automated cross-references, converting PDFs to Word using a variety of software, applying Word styles using macros, troubleshooting problem documents including redlines and documents containing multiple numbering schemes, style separators, cross-references, and other automated fieldsTranscription experience a plusKnowledge of legal terminology and legal citations preferred Additional InformationThe rate of pay for this role at the noted RRD location is $19.19/hour. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
