Job Description
Robert Half is partnering with a well-regarded, multi-office law firm in the Pacific Northwest to identify a Docketing Specialist to join its team. This position offers flexibility with a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesday-Thursday; remote Monday/Friday) or fully on-site.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is experienced in litigation calendaring and deadline management.
Position OverviewThe Docketing Specialist will play a critical role in supporting attorneys and litigation teams by ensuring accurate and timely calendaring of deadlines across multiple jurisdictions. This individual will work in a high-volume environment requiring precision, responsiveness, and strong knowledge of court rules.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update litigation calendars using docketing software (CompuLaw or similar)Review court filings and requests to determine and calculate applicable deadlinesAnalyze and apply federal, state, appellate, and bankruptcy court rulesAudit and verify docket entries for accuracy and completenessGenerate and distribute periodic and ad hoc docket reportsTrack and document work within the firm's document management systems QualificationsMinimum of 2+ years of experience in a legal environment (litigation support strongly preferred)Prior docketing or calendaring experience highly desirableFamiliarity with CompuLaw or similar docketing systems is a plusProficiency with Microsoft Office and strong overall technical skillsExceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational abilityStrong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of a law firmPreferred ExperienceWorking knowledge of court rules in WashingtonExperience supporting multi-jurisdictional litigation practicesAbility to manage high volume workflows and competing deadlines with consistencyCompensation & BenefitsThe firm offers a competitive compensation package along with a comprehensive benefits program, including:
