Job Description
Description Robert Half is partnering with a well-regarded, multi-office law firm in the Pacific Northwest to identify a Docketing Specialist to join its team. This position offers flexibility with a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesday-Thursday; remote Monday/Friday) or fully on-site. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is experienced in litigation calendaring and deadline management. Position Overview The Docketing Specialist will play a critical role in supporting attorneys and litigation teams by ensuring accurate and timely calendaring of deadlines across multiple jurisdictions. This individual will work in a high-volume environment requiring precision, responsiveness, and strong knowledge of court rules. Key Responsibilities + Maintain and update litigation calendars using docketing software (CompuLaw or similar) + Review court filings and requests to determine and calculate applicable deadlines + Analyze and apply federal, state, appellate, and bankruptcy court rules + Audit and verify docket entries for accuracy and completeness + Generate and distribute periodic and ad hoc docket reports + Track and document work within the firm's document management systems Qualifications + Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a legal environment (litigation support strongly preferred) + Prior docketing or calendaring experience highly desirable + Familiarity with CompuLaw or similar docketing systems is a plus + Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong overall technical skills + Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability + Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of a law firm Preferred Experience + Working knowledge of court rules in Washington + Experience supporting multi-jurisdictional litigation practices + Ability to manage high volume workflows and competing deadlines with consistency Compensation & Benefits The firm offers a competitive compensation package along with a comprehensive benefits program, including: + Medical, dental, and life insurance + 401(k) with profit sharing + Tuition reimbursement + Employee assistance programs + Transportation subsidies + 3 weeks PTO, paid court holidays, and sick leave If you're a detail-driven legal professional looking to join a stable, team-oriented firm with a strong regional presence, this is a compelling opportunity to advance your career in docketing and litigation support. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a legal setting, with litigation support exposure strongly preferred.
- Previous experience handling docketing, calendaring, or deadline tracking in a law firm or similar environment.
- Familiarity with CompuLaw or a comparable docketing platform is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn legal technology tools efficiently.
