Job Description

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. With more than 110 attorneys, we encompass a broad spectrum of transactional and litigation practice areas for large corporations, small businesses, and governmental entities. We currently have an opening in South Carolina for an experienced Project Assistant in our Columbia office. The Project Assistant will provide support directly to our paralegals, mainly in the areas of litigation, foreclosure, and collections, by assisting with document preparation, file organization, discovery, and other administrative projects that allow paralegals to focus on higher-level legal work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Scan, organize, and electronically file documents in accordance with firm procedures Assist with preparing, assembling, and formatting legal documents, binders, and correspondence Maintain and organize electronic client files Assist with discovery and document production Support and other practice groups with administrative projects as needed Track project deadlines and follow up on assigned tasks Maintain confidentiality of client and firm information at all times Provide overflow administrative support to legal assistants during periods of high workload
Qualification Requirements:
2 years of experience working in a law firm preferred Excellent time management skills with attention to details and the ability to meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Strong work ethic that consistently takes initiative to complete daily tasks Ability to work effectively in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment
