This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive loss prevention and safety programs that proactively reduce theft, fraud, workplace incidents, and liability exposure. The Director will oversee security operations, lead investigations, manage training programs, and partner closely with operations, HR, and external agencies to promote a culture of safety, accountability, and integrity across the organization. Key ResponsibilitiesLoss Prevention Strategy & Risk Management Develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide loss prevention programs to reduce theft, fraud, and operational risk. Identify high-risk areas through data analysis, audits, and incident trends; implement corrective action plans. Establish and enforce policies aligned with company standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Safety Leadership & Compliance Lead workplace safety initiatives to ensure a safe environment for guests and team members across all locations. Partner with HR and Operations to support OSHA compliance, injury prevention programs, and incident response protocols. Oversee safety investigations, ensuring proper documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking. Ensure compliance with electronic monitoring, privacy laws, and internal investigation protocols across multiple states. Training & Development Design and deliver training programs for property leadership and security teams on: Loss prevention and theft deterrence Workplace safety and hazard recognition De-escalation and conflict management Incident reporting and documentation Proper use of surveillance and access control systems Ensure consistent onboarding and ongoing training standards across all locations. Coach and develop property-level leaders to strengthen accountability for safety and loss prevention outcomes. Security Operations Lead and manage security teams and third-party vendors across multiple sites. Oversee surveillance operations, including CCTV systems, access controls, and alarm systems. Conduct routine and unannounced audits of security systems, processes, and physical safeguards. Investigations & Incident Management Direct and conduct investigations into theft, fraud, workplace incidents, and policy violations. Ensure investigations are handled consistently, confidentially, and in a legally compliant manner. Prepare clear, thorough reports with findings, recommendations, and risk mitigation strategies. Coordinate with law enforcement and legal partners when necessary. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and compliance activities. Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on trends, risks, and program effectiveness. Drive continuous improvement through data, benchmarking, and best practices. Qualifications 8+ years of progressive experience in loss prevention, security operations, or law enforcement, with leadership responsibility. Strong knowledge of multi-site security operations, investigations, and risk management. Experience with safety programs, OSHA compliance, and workplace incident management. Proficiency with surveillance systems, access control technology, and reporting tools. Demonstrated ability to lead training initiatives and influence operational leaders. Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
