Full Job Description Description Job Overview:
The Security Area Specialist must possess strong leadership, communication, and time management. skills. Detail oriented and able to multi-task. Responsible for quality, consistency, safety and overall customer service presentation to residents and guests. Maintains excellent knowledge of emergency response and access control procedures, electronic security control systems and logs, records, and forms of each building in span of control.
Your Responsibilities:
Assists in vacation, sick time, leave of absence, and last-minute shift assistance coverage. Assigned to a specific region. Adheres to company policy in all assigned Properties. Needs to have reliable forms of transportation and mobile communication. While on duty must be in Company approved attire and/or uniform, and follow the Company dress code and policy, and have identification badges always displayed. When on assignment, keeps work area clean. All safety procedures must always be adhered to. Any safety issues must be brought to the attention of the Property Manager immediately. Responsible for checking the Fire Alarm panel to ensure that it is in normal Status. Reports any indicated troubles in writing to the Property Manager immediately. Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., Evacuations, medical emergencies, and natural disasters) Maintains awareness of undesirable persons on property premises. Patrol property as required and report all issues of concern. Utilize radio communications IAW property guideline. Prepare and review written documents. (e.g., daily logs, inspections, reports) Exchange information with other employees using two-way radio or control base radio. Responds to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner. Reports all complaints/issues to The Director of Operations. On call 24/7 for emergencies and call outs assigned by Director of Security. Including, but not limited to weekends and Holidays. May be assigned other duties, responsibilities as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency required. Valid Florida Security License "D" Two (2) to three (3) years of hospitality security experience is preferred. Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Multiple language fluency is desirable. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 30 - 50 lbs. Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time. Handle, finger, grasp and lift objects and packages. Reach with hands and arms. Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word. Ability to navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions. Complete all required forms. Possess knowledge of multi-building operations. Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirements. Driving is required. Friday and Saturday 10pm to 6 am W hat

As a full-time exempt associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and Vision. Compensation:
$17.00
