GENERAL SUMMARY
: The Service Ambassador•Loss Prevention, is responsible for providing excellent customer service, protecting company assets through activities in safety, inventory recovery, and internal and external theft deterrence. The main objective of the Service Ambassador is to serve as an active visible deterrent to theft via general friendly and superior customer service. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work independently or in a team environment. Reports to LP Supervisor. No direct reports.
Must possess the ability to:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide a high level friendly greeting to all guest entering and exiting the store. Patrol the store and stand at assigned locations in the DSW Loss Prevention uniform jacket to create a professional and demonstrative visible deterrent to all customers and associates. Report suspicious external and internal activity to appropriate Loss Prevention staff. Complete assessments of operational, safety, and inventory control related procedures. Able to serve as a witness during apprehensions of internal and external theft. Serve as support to store management to ensure a safe work environment. Participate in the training of new hire associate orientations to establish awareness revolving around Loss Prevention knowledge. Prepare complete reports relative to all theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, and safe work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate with all levels of staff and management. Must be able to stand/walk sales floor for entire shift. Ability to make decisions in fast or stressful situations. Possess general operating knowledge of retail security camera equipment. Ability to work nights and weekends appropriate to retail business needs. Prior Loss Prevention/Security experience a plus.
Additional Details :
The successful candidate's actual pay rate offer will consider a wide range of job-related factors including skill sets, years and nature of relevant experience, training, pay rates of associates in similar positions, the candidate's location, and other organizational needs. The estimated hiring pay range has been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential. This position may be eligible for additional incentive compensation, which may include bonuses, or other forms of variable pay, subject to applicable program requirements and company discretion. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid or unpaid time off work, and/or retirement benefits, unless required by law. Benefits eligibility may vary based on where you work and your position.
