Back Brand Protection Investigator#2017070 Auburn Hills, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Brand Protection Investigator to join our global brand protection and investigations team. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding our company's intellectual property, reputation, and consumer trust by identifying, investigating, and mitigating threats such as counterfeit parts, trademark infringements, illicit online sales, and gray-market distribution.

You will conduct investigations across the supply chain, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and work closely with law enforcement and legal teams to protect our brands worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and investigate threats to company brands, including counterfeit automotive parts, illegal trademark use, gray market activities, and online fraud

Data Collection & Analysis:

Gather intelligence from open-source platforms, internal data, e-commerce sites, and market surveillance to build actionable casesPartner with internal stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Supply Chain, Sales, and Security) and external partners (law enforcement, customs, industry coalitions) to drive enforcement actionsSupport civil and criminal enforcement efforts, including coordinating raids, customs seizures, and litigation supportPrepare clear, detailed investigative reports and present findings to managementAssist in developing training programs to educate employees, dealers, and customers on brand protection best practicesMonitor global trends in counterfeiting and IP infringement to recommend proactive strategies Location(s) 1000 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326,

United States Requirements Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field5+ years in investigations, brand protection, law enforcement, corporate security, or a related field, ideally in automotive, manufacturing, or consumer goodsStrong understanding of intellectual property law (trademark, copyright, trade dress) and enforcement processes

Preferred Qualifications:
