Job Description
Job Summary The Loss Prevention Director is a key leadership role responsible for developing and implementing strategies to minimize losses due to theft, fraud, and operational inefficiencies. This position requires a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring the safety and security of company assets while fostering a culture of integrity and accountability. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional conflict management abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of loss prevention techniques. Duties Develop and execute loss prevention strategies that align with organizational goals. Oversee surveillance operations, including the management and maintenance of CCTV systems. Conduct thorough investigations into incidents of theft or fraud, documenting findings through detailed report writing. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as necessary to address criminal activities affecting the organization. Train and mentor staff on loss prevention protocols, conflict management techniques, and emergency response procedures. Analyze data related to loss incidents to identify trends and recommend improvements. Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and company policies regarding loss prevention. Lead crisis management efforts during security breaches or emergencies. Experience Proven experience in loss prevention or security management within a retail or corporate environment. Background in law enforcement or criminal investigation is highly desirable. Strong proficiency in report writing and documentation practices. Familiarity with surveillance technologies, including CCTV systems. Certification in loss prevention or related fields is a plus. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining a focus on security objectives.
