Job Summary Join our vibrant theatre environment as a Part Time Theatre Security Officer, where your vigilance and proactive approach will ensure a safe, welcoming space for all patrons, performers, and staff. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the theatre premises, managing access points, monitoring activity through surveillance systems, and responding swiftly to any incidents. Your presence will help create an enjoyable experience for everyone attending performances while upholding the highest standards of safety and loss prevention. Responsibilities Monitor entrances and exits to control access for patrons, staff, performers, and vendors, ensuring only authorized individuals enter designated areas Conduct regular patrols of the theatre premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards Utilize CCTV surveillance systems to observe activity within the theatre and surrounding areas, maintaining constant vigilance during events Respond promptly and effectively to any security incidents or emergencies, including conflicts or disturbances, following established protocols Assist with crowd management during performances and special events to promote a safe environment Document all incidents, observations, and security activities accurately in shift reports for record-keeping and follow-up Requirements Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable Knowledge of surveillance techniques including CCTV operation and loss prevention strategies Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally Ability to perform surveillance duties effectively while maintaining a friendly yet vigilant demeanor Physical fitness to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods during shifts Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members, emergency responders, and patrons as needed Join us in creating a safe and enjoyable theatrical experience!
