Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Guard to uphold safety and security across our premises. As a Guard, you will be the first line of defense, ensuring the protection of people, property, and assets through vigilant surveillance, prompt response to incidents, and effective conflict management. Responsibilities Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems continuously to detect suspicious activity or security breaches. Conduct regular patrols of the premises on foot or by vehicle to deter unauthorized access and identify potential hazards. Authorize access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, verifying identities and issuing passes as needed. Respond swiftly to alarms or incidents, assessing situations with calm professionalism and taking appropriate action. Manage conflict situations effectively through conflict management techniques, ensuring safety for all parties involved. Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, offering immediate assistance in medical emergencies until professional help arrives. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies, providing detailed reports and support. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping for future reference. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism risks and implementing preventive measures. Support emergency preparedness plans by participating in drills and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Skills Strong understanding of security procedures, law enforcement practices, and conflict management techniques. Proficiency with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and other monitoring technology. Ability to respond calmly and effectively under pressure during emergencies or conflicts. First aid certification, including CPR training, is highly desirable to provide immediate medical assistance when needed. Experience or background in military or security services is advantageous for understanding tactical approaches to safety. Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail during patrols and inspections. Effective communication skills for liaising with team members, law enforcement agencies, and the public.
