Job Description

Position Summary:
Three Bears General Store, the largest and most iconic gift shop in the Smokies, is seeking a dependable and observant Loss Prevention Associate. This role is essential to maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests, staff, and inventory. The Loss Prevention Associate will monitor activity on the sales floor, deter theft, investigate suspicious behavior, and ensure all security policies and procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor surveillance cameras and observe customer behavior to identify and prevent theft or policy violations. Conduct regular floor walks to ensure merchandise is secure and displays are not tampered with. Collaborate with management and staff to report suspicious activity or safety concerns. Respond to emergency situations, including theft, safety incidents, or disruptive behavior. Perform bag checks or monitor as necessary. Assist in internal investigations and prepare detailed reports for incidents involving theft or property damage. Help implement and uphold store procedures that reduce shrinkage. Work discreetly and respectfully to maintain a positive guest experience while ensuring store security. Ensure the safety of high-value areas. Maintain confidentiality and uphold the family values and Christian integrity of the store.
Qualifications :
Prior experience in retail security, military, law enforcement, or a related field preferred Strong observational skills and attention to detail Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations with professionalism Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to walk or stand for extended periods Availability to work weekends, holidays, and peak season hours Why Join Three Bears?
