$40,000 - $45,000 (as broken down in an hourly position)

The receptionist / legal assistant reports to the Firm's Managing Attorney with the following anticipated duties: Receptionist Duties - Open, sort, review, scan, file, and route mail Handles off-site mailing and/or shipping needs Manage Firm master calendar(s) for scheduling of common spaces Make copies / scan documents Management of firm conference rooms and common spaces, in keeping with firm standards Assist with supply inventory Oversee onsite third-party vendor scheduling, appointments, and follow-through Other office administrative work Legal Assistant Duties - Assist Managing Attorney with calendaring, preparation and dissemination of legal team materials, and other administrative needs Attend meetings with Managing Attorney and legal team to ensure case management systems, operating procedures, and firm announcements are disseminated in real-time Prepare attorney(s) materials for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials Occasional client communications Overflow assistance with drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement packets, quitclaim deeds, QDROs, and proposed orders Electronic file organization Occasional utilization of AlaCourt and AlaFile Billing requirement as set by Managing Attorney (up to 30 hours per week)
Who You Are:
Minimum of 2 years professional receptionist, administrative, and/or customer service experience (legal experience preferred) Associate's Degree or equivalent (preferred) Comfortable in emotionally charged situations Technologically proficient Detail-oriented, self-directed, and hungry to take feedback and development Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to think logically, follow instructions carefully, and switch gears quickly Desire to grow and be surrounded by like minded individuals who are driven to help you succeed
