Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Estate Paralegal/Manager to join our legal team. This role offers the opportunity to practice and lead the probate department and manage the law office. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, exceptional research and drafting abilities, and a passion for delivering meticulous legal support. As an integral part of our firm, you will ensure efficient case management, document review, and compliance with legal standards, all while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. We are looking for someone with the instincts to lead, encourage, and enforce company policy. Responsibilities Manage probate files from open through closing, including drafting documents, updating clients, communicating with the Court, and more. Manage QuickBooks accounts and office accounting weekly. Support probate activities by preparing petitions, waivers, and accountings while maintaining meticulous document management records. Assist with client interviews and gather pertinent information to facilitate estate administration or other legal proceedings. Coordinate with attorneys on project timelines, case statuses, and administrative tasks to streamline workflow within the law office environment. Provide executive administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, maintaining filing systems, data entry, and ensuring effective phone etiquette. Provide a reliable and supportive managerial position to encourage employees and ensure office efficiency. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of probate experience. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and proofreading; excellent transcription abilities are a plus. Ability to do elementary-level mathematics. The skills to handle standard QuickBooks operations. Effective professional phone etiquette; clerical experience in a law office setting is advantageous. Ability to perform data entry accurately and handle filing responsibilities efficiently within a busy legal environment. The ability to be comfortable in a managerial environment, confronting, directing, and supporting legal staff. The skills to keep a peaceful work environment while enforcing professional office standards.
