Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Legal Assistant/Office Administrator to work in our estate planning law firm in Tucson, Arizona. The work would be in support of two attorneys part of the time, and as an administrator for the office the rest of the time. Scheduling, client intake, and client management are the priority duties for the work for the attorneys, with the opportunity to grow in to handling more paralegal tasks. Office administrator tasks involve scheduling office and computer maintenance, handling leave and sick time inquiries from employees, and other projects assigned by attorneys. A candidate should have strong organizational skills and the ability to interact with clients in a helpful and respectful manner, even during times of stress. Training will be provided Areas of Responsibility Manage two attorneys' caseloads, including but not limited to: Maintaining effective and respectful client communications; Handling initial client intake and the resolution of client representation; Scheduling attorney/client meetings; Preparing files for attorneys in advance of client meetings; Maintaining organized electronic and paper files for each client; Experience One to two years of experience working as a legal assistant in a legal environment, or similar.
Skills Language:
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Computer and Practical Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Case Management Software, Office Equipment (multi-line phones, copier, scanner, postage machine, etc.)
Communication Skills:
Good speaking, writing, and people skills are needed to speak with clients and outside parties, and work cooperatively with attorneys and other team members.
Organizational Skills:
Legal assistants manage a high volume of cases and must develop effective systems to ensure cases are organized. Ability to maintain confidentiality and oversee sensitive information. Excellent people skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, clients' families, and attorneys.
Pay :
$20.00 per hour to start
