Required Qualifications:
- Certificate of completion from an accredited Paralegal program
- 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal (candidates with strong foundational skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply)
- Exceptional organizational, computer, and technical skills
- Experience or familiarity with case management and trial preparation
- Strong command of grammar, spelling, and editing
- Ability to work effectively as a team member with attorneys, staff, and clients; positive attitude and quick learner
- Strong analytical and multitasking abilities
- Experience or exposure to investigations and legal research
- Proficiency in drafting discovery requests, responses, correspondence, and pleadings
- Knowledge of depositions and interrogatories (training available for the right candidate)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
- Familiarity with local court rules, procedures, and filings; experience with Westlaw, electronic calendaring, and billing software is a plus ________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents, including discovery requests, notices, interrogatories, motions, and deposition summaries
- Compile and organize trial notebooks, exhibits, and case files
- Prepare formal discovery requests and responses, including special interrogatories, requests for admissions, production demands, deposition notices, and motions to compel
- Conduct legal research on statutory and case law; draft memoranda, proposed rules, orders, and other legal documents
