ABOUT CCDOF
With over 70 years of existence, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fresno (CCDOF) has an available position in the Immigration Services Center. This department has served over 5,000 individuals from 56 different countries in over four years, serving eight counties in the heart of the Central Valley-Mariposa, Merced, Madera, Fresno, Tulare, Kings, Kern, and Inyo. CCDOF is committed to serve, advocate, and empower those in most need regardless of race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, nationality, socioeconomic level, and/or legal status. The Immigration Services Center offers assistance with affirmative immigration remedies such as Naturalization for Veterans, Naturalization, Acquisition, Derivation, LPR renewals, family-based petitions, and non-immigrant visas, among other immigration remedies. Having three offices (Fresno, Merced, and Bakersfield), the incumbent would report to the Fresno office.
DESCRIPTION
Under the direct supervision of the Immigration Services Manager (DOJ Accredited Representative) and the general supervision of the Executive Director, the incumbent's responsibilities/duties include, but are not limited to, opening, routing, and responding to correspondence, answer telephone calls, and routing/taking messages, as well as providing high-level general clerical support to the supervisor.

Assisting the organization in delivering optimal immigration legal services. Communicate daily with the Immigration Services Manager to ensure any updates or changes. Answer a high volume of calls. Manage calendar(s), including booking and scheduling appointments. Must be able to multitask and have exceptional customer service skills. Utilize computer hardware and software to meet department demands. Oversee clerical tasks, such as sorting files and mail. Welcome visitors, book appointments, and follow up. Scheduling meetings/reminders and sending meeting invites to attendees. Translate documents from Spanish to English and vice versa. Work with other department staff, volunteers, clients, and the community members at large. Be organized, capable, and harmoniously collaborative with coworkers and volunteers. Coordinate and perform community events to promote and inform about immigration services and/or immigration updates via presentations, information fairs, public forums, etc. Assist/coordinate and direct on-site/off-site group processing workshops. Service all customers with dignity and respect. Additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School or equivalent.
Language:
Bilingual in English and Spanish, proficient in speaking, reading, and writing.
Experience :
Previous work experience in customer service/social services/immigration background preferred.
License:
Possession of a valid California Class "C" Driver License.
Other:
Must own a reliable vehicle or method of transportation.
