  • $25 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Free parking Qualifications Microsoft Excel Office activity coordination Microsoft Outlook Legal writing Writing skills Client rapport building Word embeddings Office phone management Full Job Description PT Legal Assistant/Paralegal (Glendale, CA) Two attorney boutique law firm in Glendale, CA specializing in Trusts, Estates, and Conservatorships is seeking a part-time legal assistant/paralegal.
We handle contested probate matters. This is a long-term position with potential for growth. We are willing to train the right candidate. Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
  • drafting documents, Judicial Council forms, and e-filing
  • general office duties (answering phones, making copies, filing, managing mail, ordering supplies, tidying office and kitchen)
  • maintaining calendar and scheduling meetings
  • organizing and indexing files and documents per firm's policies
  • heavy client contact
  • opening/closing files
  • preparing trial exhibit books
  • social media, website, and marketing tasks
Qualifications:
It is expected that candidates will:
  • have prior legal experience or an interest in the legal field
  • be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Office 365, Adobe
  • be able to multi-task and reliably complete tasks in a timely manner
  • have a strong work ethic
  • be reliable and dependable
  • make sure the office runs smoothly and efficiently while the attorneys are out of the office
  • be flexible and enthusiastic and have a good attitude
  • exhibit excellent writing skills
  • have a professional demeanor and be able to build a rapport with clients
  • be detailed-oriented and organized
  • be able to work independently and as part of a team
