Job Description

This is a temporary position. The duration of this role is not expected to last longer than six weeks from the date of hire. Habit Burger & Grill is seeking a Legal Intern to support our Legal team across employment litigation. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced in-house environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to learn about how the legal function supports a national restaurant brand.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Participate in employment-related research, including policy development and tracking new federal/state regulations Shadow and support the Legal team in cross-functional meetings with departments such as HR and Operations Draft internal communications and assist with legal templates. Assist in organizing legal knowledge databases and supporting legal billing or administrative requests
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE
(and other qualifications): Strong interest in corporate legal function Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities High attention to detail and discretion with confidential information Interest in employment or corporate law Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
COMPENSATION
Expected Salary:
$22.30 per hour. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
