Job Description

Do you love solving problems, keeping patients happy, and helping teams stay organized and compliant? We are looking for an in-house, in-person Paralegal to help support and grow our organization. This role will be the go-to person for patient complaints, insurance disputes, small claims, employment matters, and compliance-related issues. Help us protect the business while creating great patient and team experiences. •Experience in dental, medical, or DSO environments is highly preferred.
Position:
Full time: 30-38/hr Medical, Dental, 401 Cal savers Below a General AI description of what the job will entail Patient Relations & Dispute Resolution Handle escalated patient complaints and grievances Review refund disputes and treatment concerns Assist with small claims matters and demand letters Coordinate documentation and evidence collection for disputes Work with office managers to resolve issues quickly and professionally Help maintain patient satisfaction while protecting the company legally Compliance & Risk Management Monitor compliance with dental board regulations, HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws, and internal policies Ensure offices maintain updated compliance documentation Track licenses, permits, certifications, and required postings Assist with incident reporting and internal investigations Identify operational risks before they become legal issues Help standardize processes across all 23 locations Employment & HR Support Assist with employee-related matters including write-ups, investigations, terminations, and documentation Help ensure company policies are legally compliant Review onboarding and employment documents Support HR with unemployment claims and labor-related disputes Maintain confidential employee records and legal files Insurance & Claims Management Help manage insurance disputes and claims-related escalations Coordinate with carriers, attorneys, and third-party vendors Organize records and supporting documentation for audits or disputes Assist with malpractice or liability claim preparation if needed Contract & Legal Coordination Organize and maintain contracts, vendor agreements, and legal documents Assist with reviewing leases, service agreements, and business contracts Coordinate with outside counsel when necessary Track deadlines, renewals, and legal notices Operational Support Serve as the legal/compliance point person for regional managers and office leadership Help train managers on proper documentation and compliance procedures Create systems and workflows that reduce company exposure Assist leadership with policy creation and implementation What Success Looks Like A strong paralegal in your organization should: Reduce legal exposure Resolve problems before they escalate Keep documentation organized and audit-ready Improve consistency across all offices Protect company reputation Help leadership make safer operational decisions With 23 locations, this role can become extremely valuable because one compliance or legal mistake multiplied across multiple offices becomes expensive fast. A good in-house paralegal helps create structure and stability as the company scales.
