Job Description:

As a Personal Injury Paralegal at Maximus Law, you will play a crucial role in supporting the case management process for personal injury claims. This position is ideal for a self-driven individual with experience in personal injury law who is able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our attorneys to provide high-quality support, ensuring that deadlines are met and clients receive the compensation they deserve. We are looking for somebody well versed in personal injury that can handle litigation matters from A-Z.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, discovery responses, motions, and other pleadings. Assist with case preparation by gathering medical records, accident reports, witness statements, and other necessary documents. Communicate regularly with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other parties involved in the case to facilitate the smooth progression of each case. Organize and maintain case files, ensuring that all documents are accurately filed, updated, and easily accessible. Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, witness lists, and discovery materials. Prepare settlement demand packages and assist with the negotiation process. Conduct legal research and provide support in developing legal strategies. Manage case calendars to ensure deadlines are met for filings, discovery, and court appearances. Maintain confidentiality and ensure all client and case information is securely stored. Correct any errors quickly and efficiently as identified, ensuring the quality of work is maintained. Take full accountability for any errors and work proactively to ensure accuracy moving forward.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal. Strong knowledge of personal injury law , including both pre-litigation and litigation processes. Experience handling minor compensation cases . Proficiency with case management software. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines. Paralegal certification preferred but not required. Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are preferred but not required. Must be punctual , reliable , and able to maintain open communication with attorneys and other departments.
