Senior Paralegal The Capital Law firm Los Angeles, CA Job Details Full-time $65,000 - $90,000 a year 17 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Career development plan Vision insurance Qualifications Teamwork Legal administrative experience Attention to detail Legal case management Time management Full Job Description Position Overview The Capital Law Firm, P.C. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Pre-Litigation Paralegal to support our Pre-Litigation Attorney and leadership team. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong knowledge of California legal procedures, government claims, court filings, and deadline management. The primary focus of this position is preparing, drafting, and managing government claims, court filing documents, and other legal pleadings related to pre-litigation matters. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring all documents are prepared accurately and timely while helping monitor important deadlines and statutory requirements. Responsibilities Prepare and draft government claims and supporting documentation Monitor government claim deadlines and statutory filing requirements Draft court filing documents, pleadings, notices, and related legal documents for attorney review Prepare lawsuit filing packets and supporting exhibits Maintain and track statutes of limitations and critical case deadlines Review case files to ensure all necessary documentation is complete prior to filing Coordinate with attorneys regarding filing requirements and case strategy Assist with legal research and document preparation as needed Maintain accurate case notes and documentation within the case management system Organize and manage electronic case files and supporting records Communicate with court personnel, government agencies, and third parties regarding filing requirements when necessary Assist with special projects and other pre-litigation support functions as assigned Desired Skills & Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Litigation Support professional preferred Experience preparing and drafting government claims and court filings Knowledge of California personal injury law and pre-litigation procedures preferred Strong understanding of statutes of limitations, government claim deadlines, and filing requirements Experience preparing legal pleadings, notices, and supporting legal documents Strong attention to detail and document accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and support staff Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan Paid holidays and paid time off Professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment The Capital Law Firm, P.C. is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a professional, collaborative, and results-driven workplace.
