Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant for a contract/temporary opportunity in Martinez, CA. This role is ideal for an administrative or legal office professional with 1 to 2 years of experience who enjoys supporting a busy legal services environment, assisting the public, and keeping important case-related documents organized and moving efficiently. The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide essential front-office and administrative support in a professional government and public sector legal setting. This position offers the opportunity to build hands-on legal office experience, work closely with office leadership, and contribute to a team-oriented environment where accuracy, confidentiality, reliability, and strong communication are highly valued. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys structured administrative work, public interaction, and supporting legal processes that require careful attention to detail and timely follow-through. Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and manage multiple phone lines in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Greet, assist, and direct witnesses, law enforcement officers, and members of the public to the appropriate locations.
  • Log receipt of legal documents, motions, and police reports, then distribute or process materials accurately.
  • Enter police reports from law enforcement agencies into the PbK case management system.
  • Electronically submit case documents to the Court while ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Scan documents, maintain organized records, and complete additional administrative duties as assigned by office leadership. Compensation and Benefits

    $25.00 per hour.
