Job Description

Civil Litigation ParalegalPosition OverviewThe Civil Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in managing civil litigation cases by performing essential tasks such as legal research, document preparation, and trial preparation. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all aspects of litigation are handled efficiently and in compliance with legal standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings by organizing case files and documentsDraft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and discovery requestsManage case calendars to ensure that all deadlines are metConduct legal research and gather relevant information to support casesAssist in the discovery process, including document review and productionPrepare and file legal documents electronically in compliance with court rulesQualificationsParalegal certificate required, or must be able to obtain within 60-90 days of employmentA minimum of roughly 2 years of experience in civil litigationProficient in drafting legal documents and understanding legal terminologyStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExperience with calendaring and managing multiple casesFamiliarity with e-filing procedures and software
