Full Job Description Experience:
At least 2 years as a family law legal paralegal in
Northern California Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and adoption
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
  • Organize and maintain client files and case documents
  • Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendars
  • Transcribe dictations and prepare accurate written summaries
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a legal assistant in family law
  • paralegal certificate
  • Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology in family law
  • Proficient in document management systems and legal case management software
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in document review and preparation
  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research using various resources
  • Familiarity with phone etiquette and professional client interaction
