In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting estate planning processes, assisting with document preparation, legal research, and case management to ensure clients receive comprehensive and efficient service. Your expertise will help streamline estate planning workflows, manage client communications, and uphold the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive paralegal with a passion for estate law and a desire to make a meaningful impact in clients' lives. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with drafting, reviewing, and finalizing estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives. Conduct legal research across various areas including estate law, environmental law, tribal law & regulations, and securities law to support case development. Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date. Coordinate client interviews and gather necessary information through effective interviewing techniques to facilitate estate planning strategies. Review legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws; proofread all drafts meticulously. Support litigation processes when necessary by assisting with document review, discovery, and preparation of legal filings. Maintain excellent communication with clients, attorneys, and external agencies via phone etiquette and professional correspondence. Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis to gather relevant case law and statutory information. Support administrative tasks including data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, and managing deadlines to ensure smooth office operations. Experience Proven paralegal experience working within a law office environment with exposure to estate planning or related legal fields such as family law or probate law. Strong knowledge of estate planning principles along with familiarity in environmental law, tribal law & regulations, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, patent law or immigration law is preferred. Excellent research skills using Westlaw to locate relevant statutes and case law efficiently. Demonstrated ability to draft legal documents accurately while maintaining attention to detail through proofreading and transcription skills. Organizational skills that enable managing multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines effectively. Effective communication skills with the ability to interview clients professionally and handle administrative support tasks seamlessly.
