The opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join San Francisco/Walnut Creek office. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on all phases of litigation, from case preparation through trial, while contributing to a collaborative environment.
Paralegal responsibilities include:
  • Preparing legal documents, including appeals, complaints, discovery requests, motions, briefs, pretrial agreements, subpoenas, and summonses.
  • Responding to discovery requests, propounding discovery, and working with eDiscovery platforms.
  • Reviewing and summarizing complex claims files, depositions, and documents.
  • Assisting lawyers with preparation for arbitration, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Managing case files, documents, exhibits, and evidence.
  • Assisting with insurance coverage related tasks, such as exposure models and policy review.
  • Liaising with clients, court personnel, attorneys, and administrative staff. The successful candidate will also have:
  • Superb research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and pride and ownership in their work product
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet court deadlines
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a team Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
  • 4 to 5+ years of experience as a paralegal
  • Experience drafting, cite-checking, and correcting legal briefs
  • Working knowledge of case management software and Microsoft Office 365
