Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join our law office. The ideal candidate will assist an attorney with immigration case preparation, manage client documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant law and regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about immigration law and seeking professional growth within a dynamic legal environment. The Immigration Paralegal will play a vital role in supporting our clients' immigration journeys by providing efficient and accurate administrative and legal assistance. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to write and prepare documents accurately, and a keen understanding of Immigration Law. Responsibilities Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and related documentation accurately and timely. Conduct legal research related to immigration laws, policies, and procedures. Organize and maintain client files, case records, and correspondence. Assist attorney in preparing for hearings, interviews, and meetings. Monitor case progress and ensure all deadlines are met. Draft correspondence, affidavits, cover letters, and other legal documents as needed. Stay informed about changes in immigration laws and regulations that may impact cases. Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters to gather information and provide updates. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in the preparation of legal documents. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to ethical standards in the legal profession. Qualifications Prior experience as an immigration paralegal or in a related legal support role is preferred. Must be bilingual (read, write, speak) in Spanish and English. A high school diploma is required. College degree (2 yr degree or 4 year degree) or paralegal certification. Strong understanding of immigration law processes and documentation requirements. Strong writing skills with the ability to create clear and concise legal documents. Familiarity with legal case management systems is a plus. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in legal research tools and document management software. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
