Job Description

Overview Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm with offices in all 50 States, has an immediate opening for an experienced Litigation Paralegal in its Hartford, CT office. The ideal candidate must have 3+ years of experience working as a litigation-focused paralegal.
Qualifications:
Experience in litigation support and case management. Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and manage multiple cases, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Experience drafting and organizing discovery - both written discovery and document production. Experience preparing for and assisting at trial. Familiarity with Connecticut State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedures; knowledge of Massachusetts Rules is a plus. Excellent analytical and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and technical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate professionally, productively, and efficiently with clients, contacts, attorneys, other paralegals, and all other professional staff. Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, reviewing medical records and preparing medical chronologies, and supporting preparations for hearings, depositions, and mediations. Review, gather, and organize client documents from production to discovery. Research, organize, and summarize records as needed to assist in data gathering, including organizing information and documents in databases. Assist in trial preparation, including drafting pre-trial pleadings, preparing exhibits, and live trial support. Other duties as assigned.
