Note This role requires prior hands-on Medicaid application experience; candidates without direct Medicaid application exposure will not be considered. Job Description Prepare, submit, and manage Medicaid applications from initial intake through final determination Work closely with attorneys to evaluate eligibility, documentation, and application strategy Track application status, deadlines, approvals, and requests for additional information Communicate directly with the Department of Social Services and other agencies regarding application status Follow up on pending applications and resolve issues efficiently Maintain accurate records and updates within the firm's internal systems Assist with Medicaid-related seminars and client outreach initiatives as needed Provide clear, professional communication to clients during a sensitive and often complex process Qualifications 2+ years of direct Medicaid application experience, preferably within an elder law or estate planning environment Legal assistant or paralegal background strongly preferred Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Why You Will Love Working Here You will join a supportive, knowledgeable team that values expertise, collaboration, and long-term growth.
