Paralegal

Job Summary:

We are seeking a full time Paralegal to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a college degree and 1-3 years paralegal experience, a strong work ethic and be a team player. Experience with civil litigation, Workers' Compensation, and/or Insurance Defense preferred. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Drafting motions/pleadings, correspondences, status reports Electronic filing (state and federal court systems) Drafting Subpoenas and Deposition notices Preparing for Mediations and Trials Managing court docket calendar and Trial list Transcribe dictations and prepare summaries Manage file documents Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness Drafting medical indexes and chronologies Scheduling depositions, conferences, expert medical examinations, and more Skills/Experience required: 1-3 years experience, knowledge of civil litigation, Workers' Compensation, and insurance defense preferred Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Knowledge of CT superior court e-services, PACER, motions, discovery process, evidence, litigation documents, court rules and procedures Ability to transcribe accurately and efficiently Proficient Microsoft Office (word, outlook, excel), Adobe and typing skills Experience in legal drafting and preparing legal correspondence Strong attention to detail This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a dynamic legal team.
